Turmeric soap is a wonderful and easy way to add a natural glow to your skin as part of your skin care routine.
Not only does it look beautiful, but it can also help reduce inflammation and acne while reducing the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles.
To make your own organic turmeric soap bar, you will need coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, olive oil, palm kernel flakes, white kaolin clay, essential oils (optional), turmeric powder or turmeric paste, and sodium hydroxide (alkali liquid).
Make your soap base by first mixing coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil in a double boiler until they melt together.
Remove the mixture from the heat and add the olive oil, followed by the palm kernel flakes and kaolin clay. Next mix a few drops of your favorite essential oil if desired, then separate some of the melted mixture into a separate container.
Mix the lye into this smaller batch until completely dissolved before adding it back to the original turmeric strip mixture along with the turmeric powder or paste.
Carefully pour this combination into the molds and let them sit for 24 hours or more. Finally remove from the mold and gently cut off any excess soap that may have flowed out while drying. Here you go, your own facial cleanser or body wash.
